Geothermal Technology

Energy Dollar Beneath Your House

How easy have we forgotten that the great nature provides everything one’s needs for warm and comfort of life. Clean and round the clock energy supply, refrigerant free heating and air-conditioning needs for commercial and house- hold use are right beneath your house. Armstrong-AE Geothermal energy saving system can match the best of energy saving strategies available in the market.

You get even and comfortable air temperature all year round. Armstrong-AE Geothermal System is energy efficient saving you up to 60% in most cases and you get virtually free hot water. Armstrong-AE Geothermal heat pump is housed indoor and is protected from harsh weather condition. No defrosting is needed, less stress on critical components.

Ground Water Geothermal System (GWGS)

Ground water has superior heat transfer property and unique temperature characteristic in that it maintains a very constant temperature (usually within a degree) throughout the year even in temperate location. Therefore, using ground water to provide sustainable comfortable air within a building envelop is ideal energy saving solution for home and building with existing ground water wells or potential source of well water. GWGS draws water from an aqua chamber and then circulates the water passing through the geothermal heat-pump where heat exchange with the refrigerant inside the GWGS unit takes place.

Earth Thermal System (ETS) - Horizontal & Vertical

ETS uses the thermal properties of our earth surface. Here, a closed-loop water or antifreeze is pressurized and circulated in a plastic pipe laid in horizontal trenches digged to formation using plastic pipe laid in horizontal formation. The typical depth required per RT of refrigeration is 4 to 6 feet x (75 to 400 ft) of area.

For Vertical system, the pressurized pipes are inserted into vertical bore holes drilled to the depth of 100 - 350ft per RT. This is suitable where land area is limited. One significant advantage of the vertical system (albeit costlier) is that it enjoy the unique temperature property of year-round consistency.

Surface Water Thermal System

This is probably the most economical of geothermal energy system available. Installation cost is minimized because there is little digging of trenches or bore holes. It makes use of the outstanding temperature property of water in maintaining consistent temperature all year round as well as as heat exhange agent.
